Liverpool have spent the week preparing to face Chelsea knowing that a win on Saturday will essentially guarantee them of a top five finish with two games to play but there have been plenty of injury concerns for head coach Arne Slot to try to work around along the way.

Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak, Alisson Becker, and Giorgi Mamardashvili have all missed training this week while Ibrahima Konaté and Florian Wirtz have trained but not with teammates. There’s good news, though, with all but Salah and Alisson appearing as though they could be available.

“Alex trains with us again,” Slot noted when asked about the lengthy injury list. “Yesterday for the first time, but that’s a positive. Yesterday he did parts of it, so hopefully he can do parts—or everything—today and we will then see how much we’re able to use him tomorrow.

“Giorgi will train with us today for the first time so let’s see how he’s going to react, but Alisson not yet—he doesn’t train yet but is very close. Mo also has not trained with us yet but is also very, very close. Ibou had a personal reason and Florian was a bit unwell but trained yesterday also.”

That leaves long-term absentees Wataru Endō, Giovanni Leoni, and Conor Bradley as players certain not to play again in what little is left in the 2025-26 season, which began with a title defence and will end without silverware but likely at least see Champions League qualification.
