Otto Addo has been selected as a member of the Technical Study Group (TSG) for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Addo, who was recently dismissed from his role as Ghana’s head coach, previously led the Black Stars at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Under his guidance, Ghana recorded a group-stage win against South Korea but failed to progress beyond the first round.
He orchestrated Ghana’s qualification for the 2026 World Cup before being relieved of his duties earlier this year.
The Technical Study Group is an initiative developed under the leadership of Arsène Wenger and is headed operationally by Pascal Zuberbühler.
The group brings together former players and coaches to provide in-depth technical analysis throughout the tournament.
Members of the 2026 TSG include Tobin Heath, Jürgen Klinsmann, Jayne Ludlow, Michael O’Neill, Gilberto Silva.
Jon Dahl Tomasson, Paulo Wanchope, Aron Winter, Pablo Zabaleta, and FIFA’s Lead of Football Performance Insights, Tom Gardner.
The TSG will analyse all 104 matches of the tournament, working both from stadium locations and a dedicated performance analysis suite in Miami.
Their work will focus on delivering real-time tactical and technical insights across the competition.
Arsène Wenger emphasized the importance of advanced data in modern football, noting that the group will use high-level performance analytics to better interpret on-pitch action for both experts and global audiences.
During the tournament, FIFA will introduce its most advanced performance data system to date, providing enhanced metrics and insights to broadcasters, teams, and fans worldwide.

The FIFA Training Centre will serve as the hub for the TSG’s work, acting as a central platform for sharing insights with players, coaches, and fans globally.
For the first time at a FIFA World Cup, selected real-time analysis from the TSG will also be shared directly with fans via the FIFA Training Centre’s social media platforms and official YouTube channel.
