Former Nigeria international, Osaze Odemwingie has shared his thoughts on the future of Victor Osimhen.

Speaking to Brila.net, Odemwingie named Arsenal, Barcelona, and Real Madrid as ideal destinations for Osimhen.

According to him, these clubs possess the structure, playing style, and quality needed to maximize the striker’s strengths.

“I will say Arsenal and Barcelona will be good; these are mature clubs,” the former PL Striker stated.

“Arsenal is my dad’s team, so I mentioned it first. Real Madrid is also class for him. Anywhere he goes, he will be able to move the ball nicely and make a call for the ball.

“He is good in the air as well. Real Madrid also has a big pitch; it’s wide, and it will suit him making runs and all that.

“Maybe they will say Arsenal isn’t a matured squad because the squad is too young, so he needs a more matured one so that the whole job is not put on his hands.

“With his speed, he can make a big difference. Regardless, all those guys are very good players. He has the advantage of height, and he runs well; that’s English football for you.

Odemwingie describes Manchester United as ‘wahala’

“I didn’t name Manchester United because the wahala (problem) there is too much. The pressure on strikers is huge.

“We have seen it with Romelu Lukaku and so many other strikers; they will always find a scapegoat because the club is so big and they want results. Barcelona is also good, of course.”

Odemwingie further praised Osimhen’s qualities, emphasizing his mentality and physical strength.

“He is a very good player, a player who doesn’t lack motivation. He is a goal scorer; he is in good shape and physically strong.

“At some point, there will be a decline, but in his prime, he should be able to get to where he wants, not where we want.”

Osimhen is currently under contract with Galatasaray until June 2029.

Despite strong interest from top clubs across Europe, a transfer remains complicated due to the club’s valuation, reportedly exceeding €100 million.

He has previously been linked with moves to Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

With such a high price tag and long-term contract, any potential move for Osimhen may depend on future negotiations closer to the end of his current deal.
